A non-profit corporation
(updated June 2003)

Formed in 1996, Falcons Youth Baseball, Inc. is a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation, dedicated to teaching young men, teamwork, citizenship and the love of the national pastime, baseball. Our goal is to instill a sense of pride, sportsmanship and accomplishment in our youth - and the skills to play ball at the high school level, or beyond. We are based in the Scripps Ranch area of San Diego, California, and currently consist of seven teams, numbered by the sequence of their creation. Each team is operated as a distinct entity under the umbrella of Falcons Youth Baseball, Inc. The individual team philosophies and operational characteristics are the responsibility of the individual team organizations. Look to each site for specific information about team policies. The following associates the team numbers with the players' ages for the 2003-2004 seasons.

Our youngest Scripps Ranch baseball players had the opportunity to learn the game of baseball, and help the less fortunate learn baseball too!

On January 4, 2003, the Falcons Baseball Organization (13, 14 & 15 year olds) held a Baseball Skills Development Clinic for 5, 6 & 7 year olds. The price of admission was the donation of used or new baseball gear for our adopted baseball league in Tijuana. Over 70 young ballplayers participated and got a jump on their baseball season.

For the fourth year the Falcons Baseball Organization is holding a used equipment drive to help the disadvantaged Tijuana community of Lomas de Porvenir keep a baseball program alive for their young ballplayers. In collaboration with Scripps Ranch Little League (SRLL), the Falcons kicked-off this year's drive with a baseball clinic and gathered lots of gear and cash for purchasing even more gear…enough for about 3 teams. Special thanks go to SRLL for their generous donation of used little league equipment, especially the helmets and hard-to-get catcher's gear.

If you missed this opportunity you can still make a donation to this great cause. Please bring your unwanted baseball gear (cleats, gloves, bats, balls, pants, etc) to donation sites near the Snack Bar at Jerebek Field during the first three weeks after SRLL games begin.

Make a small donation of baseball gear and help keep a baseball program alive for young, less fortunate ballplayers. Please contact Greg Haddow (858) 578-5258, if you have any questions or want to get involved.
